It isn't just for style points, there is actually a couple of good reasons for riding around in a long sleeved jersey, even in the blazing heat of summer. The secret is in the fabric, and how its made. All of the jerseys we carry, including the youth jerseys, and even the women's jerseys, are made from a ventilated nylon/rayon material. Its no secret that we sweat when we ride, so the micro-gaps in the weave of the material direct the airflow through the material. As the air rushes in, it causes the sweat to evaporate from your skin. This causes a "cooling system" effect, which means that as long as your riding, you will stay cooler, If you already knew that, sorry for the delay, if you didn't, this proves hanging around here is actually educational, to some degree. There are also a couple of other neat features involved, which is why I always wear one of my motocross jerseys anytime I go out for a ride... Most of the jerseys have what we call a "long tail", which helps them to stay tucked in, even in the most extreme riding situations. This is a nice feature that keeps that "buttcrack issue" under control, which is nice if you take your spouse or significant other out riding with you. The other nice feature are the cuffs on the end of the sleeves. The stretching cuffs slip easily over your hand, but provide a nice seal to keep dust, debris, and even insects. Combine that with a good pair of riding gloves, and you have a winning combination. So, having said my peace, here are the motocross jerseys as promised. The jerseys for youth, and even the women's jerseys are included in this list. Ride Safe. Ride Legal. Ride Again...Curtis |
